Who We Are

Since its inception in 1916, Women Ministries has remained committed to advancing God’s kingdom through ministries that equip women to grow, serve and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Women Ministries accomplishes this by connecting women in transformational relationships and uniting them in Christ to impact our world.

What do the women of Karmel Covenant Church do to minister to others?
We participate in Bible studies, attend retreats and conferences and sponser many ongoing mission projects.

What kind of mission projects?
LAYETTES/PILLOW CASE DRESSES
Basic outfits are needed for babies-jacket, bonnet and receiving blanket. Dresses made out of pillow cases can be tailored to all sizes. Those with skills can instruct those eager to gain new skills.

RIP ‘N ROLL
Extending a Hand to Congo ROLLING BANDAGES is the “in” thing to do! Bandage Rolling is a perfect way to spend a cold and wintry afternoon in the north country. This is a ministry that is being revived throughout the denomination. Bandage rollers, made by the talented women at Covenant Village, are being ordewred on a regular basis. The women of the Northwest Conference have always been great supporters of this vital ministry. Keep up the good work. Also for Congo – continue to sew layettes as it is an ongoing need! These layettes are given to the new mothers for coming to the clinic for prenatal care.

EYEGLASSES FOR THE CONGO
Dr. Roger Thorpe sends his thanks for the large number of used eyeglasses being sent for Congo. Dr. Thorpe checks the lenses and prepares them for shipment. Good, unscratched eyeglasses are still needed.

OUR PLACE/NORTH PLACE/FRIENDSHIP PLACE
Even though these Enabling Residenses are not Women Ministries projects, they still can use our support and friendship. They love to have visitors and there are many odd jobs to deal with on a regular basis.

Also remember to SAVE:
Eyeglasses & empty pill bottles for the Congo.
Campbells labels for Lake Beauty Bible Camp (see list on bulletin board in kitchen).
Box tops for education & Kemps milk tops for area schools.
Pop can pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
