Karmel Covenant Church
1885 – Present…
Karmel (from Latin for “fruited orchard”) is a friendly, outward focused, and increasingly vibrant congregation for people of diverse backgrounds and ages. Our strong ministry to children and youth dates back to our inception in 1885 when Swedish immigrants formed a Sunday School and Bible groups that became the church we are today.
The original log structure is hidden under a modern façade, and subsequent additions have given us a warm and inviting place to gather. Our steady and healthy growth is combined with an emphasis on the forming of ministries to advance our vision. As we demonstrate and proclaim the gospel, our prayer and desire is that neighbors and friends become followers Jesus, so they can also experience his grace. We gladly partner with other congregations and organizations to advance the work of the Lord.
While we are serious about our mission, we are also a very fun congregation. We laugh a lot, and always look for opportunities like camping, softball, retreats, crazy evenings, and other special events, to deepen our bond with both old and new friends.
We are trusting God to guide us, and to use us to advance his Kingdom work. If you are considering a church home, you may want to give us a visit!
